WHISPERS is an immersive experience incorporating dance, music, and poetry by Charles C. Smith.

The ‘wind in the leaves collective’ has developed a significant body of work over the past decade. The collective’s unique approach to multi-disciplinary performance takes its lead from the artistic director’s poetry, which is explored and choreographed by dancers, musicians, and video artists.

The collective is now Presenter in Residence at the Citadel, where selected artists will share the stage and advance the notion of poetry and dance as a seamless art form practiced by racialized and Indigenous artists and drawing from historic pre-colonial practices made contemporary.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

Etobicoke Musical Productions presents Stephen Sondheim's A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM! Broadway's greatest farce is light, fast-paced, witty, irreverent and one of the funniest musicals ever written. The show takes comedy back to its roots, combining situations from time-tested, 2000-year-old comedies of Roman playwright, Plautus, with the infectious energy of classic vaudeville.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is a nonstop laughfest in which Pseudolus, a crafty slave, struggles to win the hand of a beautiful, but slow-witted, courtesan named Philia for his young master, Hero, in exchange for freedom. The plot twists and turns with cases of mistaken identity, slamming doors and a showgirl or two.

This unforgettable, hysterical musical allows a terrific ensemble of comedic actors to shine – "something for everyone, a comedy tonight!"
